Ever since Mafresa was created, in the early 1990s, we have been committed to quality. The origin of our products is certified and production is monitored to ensure that they retain all of their flavour and quality when they reach your establishment and all of their properties when they reach your table.

To achieve our goals, we have developed a management system based more on prevention than correction, underpinned by the implementation of a robust food safety culture among our workers.

Our quality goals are measurable and reviewed regularly to ensure that the proposed indicators guarantee that we have objective control of our processes.

QUALITY IN PRODUCTION

Tradition and innovation

The quality and values of genuine Iberian products are preserved when they are produced locally and combine traditional processes with innovation.

For over 25 years we have been true to our traditional roots, while also innovating our processes to ensure the quality, traceability and safety of our Iberian pork products and give our customers what they want. In our catalogue, we have a wide variety of products and they are all gluten-free.

We have also established free-flowing communication channels, both externally (with our suppliers and customers) and internally (between our employees), always seeking the satisfaction of our customers and the continuous improvement of our products and processes.

Our products are monitored from the livestock farm to the customer. It is only possible to offer products of the highest sensory quality which meet our customers' expectations with this farm to fork control.

We are committed to continuous improvement, with processes that allow us to adapt to changes, with one clear aim: to maintain and improve the safety, authenticity and quality of our products.

Mafresa's equipment and facilities are efficient and allow us to follow the traceability of every single piece that we distribute.

Innovating to guarantee high-quality products.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we encourage the development of science and technology and the advancement of our society.

For this purpose, we work in tandem with various foundations and universities:

  • We are members of the board of the Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre, whose founder and honorary president. Jesús Usón Gargallo, was recently named a Corresponding Member of the Royal National Academy of Medicine of Spain https://www.ccmijesususon.com/.
  • We sponsor and support the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation's university summer school.
  • We help to run internships with several universities and training institutes, such as the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the School of Agricultural Engineering at Extremadura University; the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Seville; the Eugenio Hermoso de Fregenal de la Sierra Secondary School and the El Pomar Secondary School Vocational Training Centre, in Jerez de los Caballeros.

CERTIFICATIONS

Mafresa's facilities are certified according to the IFS and BRC standards that are recognised worldwide. This allows us to continue with our ongoing commitment to excellence and authentic, healthy and safe food.

Additionally, in Mafresa we produce a wide variety of products that are certified according to recognised Iberian quality standards such as the Iberian Pork Quality Standard and the specifications of the Protected Designation of Origin of Extremadura.

Strongly export-oriented, we are officially approved to export meat and meat products to numerous countries on several continents. Our highly qualified professionals are working to open up new markets where we can deliver Iberian pork products.
